This included many hours spent at the cemetery, copying tombstones, cross-checking names from the record book, and transferring the information onto individual record cards for the cemetery association. In addition, much proofreading was involved. I also recopied the record book, as the old one was dilapidated. I secured a new map of the cemetery from the office of the county surveyor, and numbered and colored in the filled graves on the map. This was my project for Eagle Scout rank. Four other scouts from my Troop 26, Holy Name Church, Topeka, Kansas, ably assisted me. I would like to thank Patrick Kennedy, Alan Singleton, Dan Hrenchir and Bob Hrenchir who helped me. Altogether, we put in more than 50 hours of work. We also made a sign for the cemetery. After finishing the project, I thought the information would serve genealogy enthusiasts if it were recorded in book form. Thus, my mother, Joan Hrenchir, volunteered her time to type the alphabetized cards for this book. This compilation is to be used only as a reference book. Any information contained in it may not be copied for sale by anyone, without the written permission of the author. Three copies are available for use. They have been given to the Topeka Genealogical Society, The Topeka Public Library and the Kansas State Historical Society, Topeka, Kansas Timothy J.
