Shirley Marcelle (Brobst) Potts
Shirley Brobst Potts, 77, passed away January 5, 2013. She was born in Auburn,
KS on November 26, 1935 to Nathan Brobst and Ida Robinson Brobst. She graduated
from Auburn High School in 1955. She married Donald Fischer in 1955; they later
divorced, he survives. In 1994 she married Cecil Potts. She was the loving
mother of three daughters, Diana Meyer (Tom), Terry Rosetta (Victor) and Pat
Smith (Sean), eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four
step-children, and many step-grandchildren who survive. She also has ten sisters
and five brothers. She was proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers and
one sister. She worked as a cosmetologist, graduating from cosmetology school in
1968; she opened her own shop in 1971. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00
pm prior to the service. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday January 12,
2013, at the Auburn Community Center, 121 West 11th Street, Auburn, KS. In lieu
of flowers, make contributions to Harden Hospice, 2121 SW Chelsea Dr, Suite 107,
Topeka, KS 66614. Cremation will occur prior to the service. Shirley Brobst Potts
