Name:               Abbie Martha McNeil Stewart Groves

Abbie Martha McNeil Stewart Groves was the daughter of Cyrus Granville and 
Martha Ann Holt McNeil.  Abbie was born June 06, 1851, in South Andover, Essex 
County, Massachusetts, and first married Alonzo E. Stewart.  Their children 
were: Reca, Cora, Johnny, and James.  Both boys, as well as their father, died 
in the Typhoid outbreak in 1879.  Abbie then married John Newton Groves, May 
30, 1882, Fairview Twp., Stafford County, Kansas.  Their children were: Jenni 
May, Pearl Emma, Roy Jacob, Ross Nathan, Sarah Lucy, and Elbie Earl Groves.  
Abbie died August 11, 1917, in Dodge City, Ford County, Kansas.  She is buried 
in Peace Creek Cemetery and her tombstone photograph can be seen online.
