Word was flashed over the wire last Monday morning that the city of Omaha was partly demolished by a terrific wind storm that swept over the city late Sunday evening. The first reports are sent out that there was close to a thousand killed and millions of property destroyed, but later reports in the big dailies had the death list down to the death mark. Earl KENDALL who lives in that city, telegraphed back to his relatives that their home had been destoryed by the strom and they they had barely escaped with their lives. Although thier loss was great they can certainly be thankful that it was no greater than it was.
