Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan County, Kansas December 13, 1889

Bob McGONIGAL, manager of the Chicago lumber company's business here, and Thos. 
FOSTER, a member of the Foster & Son lumber company, report a heavy increase in 
business this fall.  They assign as a reason for the lively trade the fact that 
farmers of the county are getting in easier circumstances and building nice 
frame houses to take the place of the sod house.  This is indeed an evidence of 
renewed prosperity. -- Colby Free Press.
