Rosa Mae Chambers was born in this county, August 25, 1903 and died of diabetes at her home Friday evening, December 12, 1912, age 9 years, 3 months, and 18 days. She had been in delicate health for a long time, but grew worse and her last illness lasted only a few days. The funeral services were held Sunday at the M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Wiles and she was laid to rest in the Brewster cemetery, near her father who was buried September 11, 1914. She will be sadly missed in her home and by her teacher and friends. Her life's work has ended ere it began; her place is vacant and all that is vacant and all that is left to us is the remembrance of her many kind ways, her loving little acts and the hope of meeting her in a fairer land. Mrs. Chambers has the sympathy of the entire community in her bereavement, having lost a husband about a year previous. A Friend. Card of Thanks. We desire to thank the many kind friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us in the illness and death of our little one, Rosa Mae. Mrs. Daisy Chambers and family. Lewis Hollenbeck and family.
