One of the unique, undemonstrative affairs in Colby, and one worthy of mention was the marriage at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 1915, by the Rev. N.W. Beauchamp, at the home of the bride's parents, MR. and Mrs. Geo. DIMMITT, in Colby their youngest daughter, Miss Arville DIMMITT with Mr. Carl C. HAYNIE, of Halfway, Oregon. Mr. Haynie, the bride groom, is an exemplary young man, and banker of the above city, established in character, and a wide-a-wake business push and enterprise that betokens a successful future and a good husband for his model bride. He is associated with his now a brother-in-law, Warren DOUGLAS, a former Thomas county high school boy, whom many here know, whose wife was Miss Katie DIMMITT, also of the high school. An eulogy of Miss 'Villa, this young bride, and one of Thomas county's high school's best finishes, is beyond this reporter's vocabulary of expression. Most widely known and highly esteemed young women of Colby and Thomas county and whose kindly, and most amiable social contact was simply a cheerful inspiration; her friends are numbered by the scores, all of whom wish for the couple the very best. The event was witnessed by the immediate family and two or three friends, and the couple left on the U.P. train a short time after the ceremony. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/thomas/vitals/marriages/dimmitt66mr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
