At the home of the bride's parents in Sterling, Colorado, on Wednesday, February 12, occured the marriage of Mr. Verni L. C. SMITH of Colby and Miss Kate HISKEY of that city. The contracting parties are well and favorably known in this community where they both have made their homes in times past. The groom is our big good natured, newly elected county attorney, a young man clean in his morals and well equipped for his life's work. He has lived practically all of his life in this county and is justly popular with everyone. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. t. B. Hiskey, formerly residents here. She is a charming young lady, possessed of all the attributes of charming young womanhood. The happy young people will come to Colby and be at the home in the Fike residence where they will begin their married life and where they will be blessed with the good wishes and happy congratulations of a host of friends.
