At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. HOWARD, at Halford, Thomas county, Kansas, at high noon, Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1915, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Maude HOWARD and Mr. Sorn THORPE. The ceremony being performed by the Rev. N.W. Beauchamp, in presence of family relatives and a few friends. There being some 40 or more in all. A well filled and prepared table served the guests, a credit to the family and bride. The couple were the recipients of many elegant and useful presents. The groom is an enterprising young farmer of Mingo, and with a fair future of success by dint of industry, continuity and uprightness of character, being of the German Lutheran persuasion. The bride is a christian young girl, from one of Thomas county's best homes, is of the Thomas county high school. Of estimable character, amiable disposition and accomplishments for her place in the circle in life, and will fill the obligations of a wife and companion, very assuredly.
