The Colby Free Press, Thomas County, Thursday, December 18, 1913
Married, at the home of Mrs. S.C. Jones, in this city last Friday at twelve
o'clock occurred the marriage of Miss Nellie JONES and Mr. E. Herbert CHRISTMAN,
of Waldo, Kansas. The ceremony occured in the presence of only the close
relatives of the couple. Rev. Sites of this city was the officiating clergyman.
The bride has been a resident of the city the past year and has been a resident
of the county the most of her life and has made a host of friends who wish her
the best of happiness with the man she has chosen for her life companion. The
groom is a young farmer of near Waldo, and has the friendship and esteem of
everyone there. While he is a stranger to most of us, we know that he is in
every way worthy of the bride of his choice. The marriage is a termination of a
courtship that sprung up between the two while they were attending one of the
eastern schools together. They will make their home on one of the grooms fine
farms near Waldo and the well wishes of their many fri!
 ends, in which the Free Press joins, will follow them. May their life together
be one of happiness and contentment.
