The Colby Free Press, Thomas County, Thursday January 23, 1913

Married.
A special corespondent of the Press from Wichita, Kansas sends the News of the
marriage of Floyd L. SMITH to Miss Maude THURSTON on January 17th. The Rev.
Priest of the Christian church of that city offiating. These young people are
well known in Colby. Mr. Smith the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Smith, of one of the
early settlers of the county. He is a fine business man and holds the respect of
every one. They bride is the daughter of J.C. Thurston a splendid young lady
beautiful in character and possessed of all of those finer qualities of graceful
young womanhood that endears her to all who know her. They will begin their
wedded life at Chanute, Kansas where Mr. Smith is in the real estate business.
Their many friends at Colby send blessings and benedictions.
