Hopewell Cemetery 
Mahaska, Washington County, Kansas

Hopewell Cemetery, 3 miles east and one and a half miles south of Mahaska, 
Washington County, Kansas. Hopewell Charter for what was known as Hopewell 
Cemetery, issued on the 22nd of September 1886 by Sec of State of Kansas. 
Good for 999 years. Two markers were found under a tree beside a barn on the 
Jonah Simmons Farm.
