Uncle Wm. Ayers Dead.
Tuesday evening as the curtain fell for the day and darkness was creeping on,
Wm. AYERS, better known as Uncle Billy Ayers, breathed his last, ending a long
period of suffering and sickness. Mr. Ayers was one of the old settlers here
having made this his home for more than thirty years. He was 77 years old when
he died. His funeral was held at the home Thursday conducted by Rev. Taylor of
the Baptist church, of which he was a member.
