Died:--Merel B. BOBBITT, infant son of Franklin H. and Gertrude Bobbitt, now of
Morrowville, died at the home of D.F. Bobbitt, near Haddam, on Wednesday
morning, June 8, 1898, of brain fever, after a sickness of about two weeks, aged
1 year, June 19. The child was buried in the Emmons cemetery on Thursday
afternoon, where services were held, Rev. John Jackson officiating. Several
Haddam friends accompanied the relatives by train to the cemetery, where a large
number of old friends of the family had gathered to join in the sad ceremonies
and to express their sympathy.
