Died at her home, in Enosdale, Washington Co., Kan., Feb. 13, 1910, aged seventy years, ten months and twenty six days. She was married Enos W. CARSON, February 17, 1856. To this union were born four sons and three daughters: Charles Elmer and Frank Effinger died in childhood and wer buried in the Vohite Lick Cemetery near Mooresville, Ind. Jesse Evan, the oldest son, and Nancy Cordelia after attaining to man and womanhood, passed away and were laid to rest in the Dale Cemetery, at Enosdale. The three remaining children are, Mattie E. MILLS of Mooresville, Ind., James F. CARSON, of Ottawa, Kansas, who are present, and Bertha E. STRAHAN of Van Metre South Dakota. There were also present her only living brother Daniel M. JONES of Plainfield, Ind., also her cousin Bartholemew, RAMSEY of Fairbury, Iowa. She was converted in early life, and soon after marriage she with her husband joined the Society of Friends and has been a consistant useful member of the same ever since having patiently borne several years of bodily affliction she peacefully came down to rivers brink, and as her husband sat by holding her hand the last lines of the beautiful stanza came vividly to him: Jesus can make a dying bed, Feel soft as downy pillows, As on his breast I lean my head, And breathe my life out sweetly there. Enos Carson and Mary J.
