EVANS was born in Cedar county, Iowa, October 8th, 1854 and came to Kansas with his parents in 1870. They located on the farm where he spent the remainder of his days. He was joined in marriage with Ida HAGENMAIER, Oct. 28, 1888. Four children were bron to this union, one daughter, Rose E., preceded him in death. He was converted about 28 years ago, and some years later united with the United Brethern church he was a member until six years ago, when he united with the Evangelical church of which he was a faithful member until his death. He peacefully fell asleep at 8:00 p.m. July 19, 1922, at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn, his wife, two daughters, one son, one sister, one brother, and three grandchildren, besides many relatives and friends. The funeral services were held from the Zion chruch, July 21st, and the body layed to rest in the Zion cemetery. Card of Thanks.
