Mellie Emma Cole FOUNTAIN was born in the home of her parents, 7 miles south of
Greenleaf, Kans., July 15, 1872, died at her home 2 miles southeast of
Washington, Kans., Aug. 23, 1910, aged 38 years, 1 month and 8 days.
Was married to Eugene Fountain Aug.6, 1896. She leaves a mother, husband, 2
children, 2 brothers and many friends to mourn her death.
She was converted when about 18 years of age and united with the Baptist church,
and has been a consistent member ever since.
