M. LEE was born October 2, 1842, in the state of New York and died January 15, 1904, in this city. Mr. Lee enlisted in the 2nd Wisconsin cavalry, December 15, 1861 and at the expiration of this term of service in January, 1865, was discharged at Memphis, Tenn., and afterwards became a sailor. He was married July 4, 1871, to Miss Fanny BARNES, who with an adopted daughter, Mrs. John Hawk, still survives him. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. D. A. Leeper, at the M.E. church Sunday, January 17, at 1:30 p.m. and the remains were placed at rest in the city cemetery.
