After a lingering illness in which she was confined to her bed for nearly six months she quietly passed away. Grandma McGregor came with husband and children to this county as one of the early settlers coming in 1810 and has since been a resident of the county, residing almost continously on the place homesteaded by her husband and on which she was making her home with her son John at the time of her departure. She was bron in Sterlingstur, Scotland, Feb. 6, 1843, was married to Duncan McGregor in 1863 and came to America in 1868. Husband and several children preceded her in death. One son, John, one daughter, Mrs. B.E. WHIPKEY with their families, and several other grandchildren with a host of friends mourn the departure of so kind and loving a mother and friend. Grandma's was an exemplary Christian life. Interment took place Friday p.m. May 6th in the family lot in the Washington cemetery. Her pastor E.S. Evans officiating.
