Mr. Menefee departed this life at his home in Hollenberg, Kansas, at 7 o'clock a.m., Jan. 27th, at the age of sixty eight. He was born in the state of Kentucky in the year of 1830 A.D. With his parents he removed to Decatur county, Ind., at the age of five. He met and wedded Miss Lucinda BAKER near New Burg, Ind., in 1851. He was an active member of the Baptist church for fifteen years in Indiana. He and his family moved to Iowa and after a few years moved to Hollenberg, Kan., and have remained in the vicinity until the time of his death. He was an enterprising and industrious man from his youth. He was a kind loving father and husband. He leaves a wife who survives him, six sons, and two daughters, to mourn his departure from this life. The funeral was conducted by Rev. F.E. SMITH, of Steele City, Neb.
