Mr. N. was born in Denmark and emigrated to this country in 1865, locating in Wisconsin, and from there moved to Kansas in 1867, taking up a homestead adjoining what is now the city of Greenleaf, where he has made himself a pleasant home, surrounding his family with all the comforts of farm life. He was a sober, industrious citizen and a member of the Baptist church. He leaves a wife and five small children to mourn his untimely death. The funeral took place at the school house in this city in the afternoon of the same day of his death. Elder Trumbell preached the funeral sermon, and his remains were followed to its last resting place by many of our citizens.
