Accidentaly Shot.
Tuesday of this week two boys of A. OREN, age 10 and 12 years, who live four
miles east of Linn were shooting rats with a target rifle. The older boy had the
gun and was watching for a rat to makes its appearance from behind the crib.
Vernie, his younger brother, put his head out from a place where he was hiding
to see if the rat was coming, and at the same time the rat came out near him.
The fatal shot was fired and the ball entered the boy's eye. He lived about 5
hours.
