Mr. PATTERSON, of Hanover, an inmate of the poor house, died Sunday night and
was buried Monday. He was nearly one hundred years of age, and in the prime of
his life occupied many positions of honor and trust. His children, after
securing the property for which he toiled in his younger days, left him to
finally die in the poor house and be buried in potter's field. Mr. SPENCE
informs us that this is the third death at the poor farm in about two months.
