Magdalene BOWERSOX, was born in York County, Pa., February 18, 1837 and died at her home in Washington, Kansas, January 29, 1910 at the age of seventy-two years, eleven months and ten days. She was married to Samuel ROBERTS, February 19, 1856 in Dark County, Ohio. Came to Kansas Oct. 17, 1869. Five children were born to this union: Adeline who died in infancy, Mrs. Maggie STEWART, Orley, Della CARSON and Mrs. Mary SOWARD, all of whom were at home at the time of her death. She united in the Luthern church in May 1852. She later united with the Presbyterian church of which she was a member until death. She was taken sick just two weeks before her death. All that could be was done, but she was at last called home. Her husband, Samuel Roberts, one sister, Miss Matilda Bowersox, three daughters, and one son survive here.
