She was married to J.W. TUCKER in 1861, removed to this place, Kimeo, Kansas in 1873. She lived blameless, bearing her part with her bereaved husband the toils subsequent to a pioneering life, reared a family of three noble men, (buried one child.) Wm. is living on the old homestead; Stephen near Odell, Rooks county; Charles near Alton, Osborn county, all prosperous. Sister TUCKER was a Christian woman led by faith in Him who was able to help her in all her trials, and many shall rise up to call her blessed, for she could never turn the stranger cold or hungry from the door. She suffered from paralysis, the second stroke making quick work. Her husband and sons offer their heartfelt thanks to the friends and neighbors for the kind care and attention in their hours of sorrow. The last words were spoken by the Revs. Knight and Bland at the Congregational church, and she was laid away in the Appleton cemetery, until the trumpet6 shall sound and awake all ye saints. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/washington/obits/s/shafer81ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
