July 15, 1898

Died:--E.M. SHIELDS, July 5, 1898, near Hollenberg, after a few days sickness,
the little boy of 4 years and 28 days, passed quietly away surrounded by so many
of his loving relatives reaching to his great grandfather whose name the bright
little laddie bore. The funeral services were held in the church near by the
following day where many friends gathered in love and sympathy, shown and spoken
to those who mourn the sad loss.
