John SIMMONS, aged 73 years, who lived near Linn, died Monday, July 26th, of
Brights disease. His funeral was held at his home, conducted by Rev. Bates of
this place. Mr. Simmons was a member of the Baptist church in Missouri and never
had his membership changed. His illness was of about two years standing. Mr.
Simmons leaves seven grown children as mourners. His wife died about two years ago.
