She was married at the age of 26. Her husband died in 1864, leaving here the mother of six children, four of whom survive her three daughters and one son. She was industrious and usually enjoyed good health to within 18 days of her death. After a few days of bodily pain, she closed her eyes to all earthly scenes; her spirit went to God, who gave it. At an early age she became a member of the Lutheran church, but in later years she became very much attached to the Baptist church, although she did not become a member. She was a constant reader of the Bible, having read it through many times. She goes to her grave at a good old age, like a ripe shock of corn, fit for the master's use. Her funeral was largely attended at the house of Alfred Bond. The sermon was preached by the writer from Jobe. J.F. RAIRDEN. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/washington/obits/t/traver151ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
