Mary Helen Wells.
Mary Helen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. WELLS was born near Beaver
Crossing, Nebr., June 26, 1898, and died Sept. 9, 1909 being, therefore, eleven
years, two months and thirteen days of age. When four years of age she came with
her parents to the home near Haddam and in a few years of her life here made a
host of friends both young and old.
The little life went out without a moment's notice nor apparent pain. The
deceased leaves a father and mother, two brothers, Frank and Delbert and two
sisters, Mrs. W.J. THOMAS of Haddam and Mrs. E.W. HUNKINS of Arcadia, Nebr.
The funeral was held from the Hickory Grove church at 2 p.m. Friday. A large
concourse of people including relatives were in attendance bespeaking the
friendship and esteem for the dead and friendship and sympathy for the living.
The brief service was conducted by Rev. Reeves.
