A very sad accident occurred last week north of Ballard Falls. Mr. WHIPPLE had
the derrick and hay fork fall on his head while stacking alfalfa last Monday,
crushing his skull and rendering him unconscious, which he never regained and
died Friday. Funeral was held at the Dane church Sunday morning and interment in
the Dane cemetery. Mr. Whipple was a man with no family, and about forty years
of age. Two sisters and two brothers living together. The family have the
sympahty of the entire community.
