Dr. Ralph Robert Robbins Jr.

After 36 years of teaching, he recently retired as an Associate Professor from
the department of Astronomy at the University of Texas in Austin. "Bob" was born
in Wichita, Kansas. At the end of his school years there, he was awarded a full
scholarship to Yale University which he proudly accepted. He focused his
lifetime research, publications, and teaching in Astronomy and Archaeoastronomy.
Among numerous degrees, all with honors, he graduated from Yale University with
the class of 1960; earning his liberal arts degree with concentrations in math.
Bob also studied at Berkley, California where he earned the degree of Doctor of
Philosophy in Astronomy with the class of 1966. As a loving son and father, he
was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred "Toni" Robbins, father, Ralph
Robert Robbins Sr., and son, Mark Juarez.
