Davidson were the founders of Kalida and are all buried in the family plot of the cemetery, which is surrounded by sandstone. There, however, is not a marker for any member of the family and the plot is not marked to identify the Davidson family. In March 1968, a stone was erected to mark the plot of the Davidson lot. Thomas Houston Davidson was born near New Castle, PA., February 2, 1816 and died February 2, 1889, at the Kalida farm in Woodson County. He was the first to be buried in the cemetery. James Davidson planned and was projector of the gateway and cave at the old Kalida Farm. Cooper, Eliza J. 18 August 1879 w/o O d/o T.B. & E.E reed 20 yr. 2 mo. 15 da Cordell, A.
