The Yates Center News Thur May 29, 1879 pg 3

The M. E. Church at Yates Center will be
dedicated June 8th, 1879. The President
Elder, Rev. S. E. Pendleton; Rev. William
Rutledge, of the Illinois conference; and
Dr. Barnes, of Jacksonville, Illinois, are
expected to be present. Former pastors, 
and friends of the cause are invited.
