            DISTRICT COURT
 3rd March 1884 Judge Hon. L. Stillwell presiding.
The State of Kansas ex rel Sarah Carpenter
vs
H. W. Stewart.   Prosecution under the bastardy act.
The defendat having taken French leaveon Sunday
evening, the cause was continued on the application
of the County Attorney. Popular feeling seems to 
indicate that the departure of defendant is 
little mourned.
