The Evening Woodson County Advocate Fri Dec 6, 1901 Pg 5 1901

   Thanksgiving day was well observed at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harder. About forty
guests assembled to spend the day in a pleasant
family reunion and eat turkey. The guests were:
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lauber and son, Mr. and Mrs.
C. F. Harder and daughter, H. F. Stockebrand 
and family, John A. Donnerberg and family, 
Louie Broadman and family, Henry Krueger, wife
and daughter, Mr Henry Wachtman, E. C Stockebrand
and family, the children of August Stockebrand,
Miss Mary Stange, Wm. Toedman and family. At the
sound of the gong which called dinner, all 
heartily partook of the same, which was prepared
by the hostess, and was highly relished by all.
After dinner various games were indulged in 
until the hour for departure arrived, all 
departed for their homes thanking their cheerful
hostess for a fine Thanksgiving dinner and
hospitality 
                ONE WHO WAS THERE.
