      Veteran Newspaper Publisher is Dead
    Fredonia, Sept. 30 (AP)--E. F. Hudson, 83,
retired newspaper publisher, died here yesterday.
   Hudson went in the newspaper business 50 years
ago after having been a farmer. At various times
he published the Eureka Messenger, the Woodson
County Advocate at Yates Center and the Fredonia
Herald, of which his son, Ben S. Hudson, is now
publisher.
   Hudson had been retired for 20 years.
