D. W. MAXSON Called to Her Eternal Reward-The End Came at 3:30 Wednesday Afternoon Mrs. L. E. Maxson, wife of Dr. D. W. Maxson, who was taken sick with la grippe and pneumonia Monday night of last week, died Wednesday, March 27, 1901, aged 62 years and 25 days. Louisa E. Myrick was born March 1, 1839, in Paris, Henry county, Tenn, and with her parents removed to Bourbon county, Kas., in 1857, and was united in marriage with Daniel W. Maxson, June 8, 1860. During the civil war she remained at her father's home while her husband was in the service of his country, and after peace was restored and her husband returned they moved to Iola where he commenced the practice of medicine, remaining there for a period of two years, thence to what is now the town of Coyville, where they resided 15 years and then moved to Toronto, but only lived here for three years when they moved again to Coyville and from there to Buffalo, where they remained about three years and again moved to Toronto where they have resided continuously since that time. Mrs. Maxson has left a husband, three sons, two daughters and the whole town of Toronto to mourn her departure, for she was everybody's friend, especially to those in sorrow and distress, and those who needed couonsel and advice. She was converted and joined the M. E. church at Coyville more than 25 years ago and has remained a steadfast member of the same ever since, and has been one of the stewards for several years. Her life's work has ended, but the result of the good she has done will live in the hearts of the people, for she practiced her religion in her every day life, and her character will be a beacon light to draw her loved one's to meet her on "That beautiful shore." She cannot return to them, but they can so live in this life that they may prepare themselves to meet her, and live with her through eternity. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. Emerson, after which the remains were followed by the relatives and a large concourse of sorrowing friends to their last resting place in the East Side cemetery.
