Taylor, aged 1 year, 9 months and 27 days. Little Russell was a bright and interesting child, and quickly won the hearts of all. On Sunday evening last he was in his usual health, full of life and busy with his childish toys. On Monday morning he was taken ill and in spite of all human aid, after much suffering, on the following afternoon his spirit took its flight over the mystic river "where all the ransomed and angels be." He was the first born and the only one of his fond young parents, in whose hearts his death leaves an ever aching void. But if there can be a compensat- ing thought, it is that their darling has returned to the God who gave it, pure and unspotted from the world's temptations. "Lovely, bright, chaste as morning dew, It sparkled, was exhaled and went to heaven." The funeral service took place at the residence of his grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Buck, in this city, Rev. J. M. C. Reed officiating, after which the remains were followed to the Toronto cemetery, where they were laid to rest. "Ere sin could harm, or sorrow fade, Death came with friendly care; The opening bud to heaven conveyed, And it bade it blossom there."
