Funeral services at 10 am Mon, Jan 12, at Alden-Harrignton Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, Kansas. Burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 PM Sun at funeral home. Funeral followed by a luncheon provided by Jehovah's Witnesses. Louie was born Feb 16, 1906 in Kansas City, Kansas. Employed by Proctor & Gamble until 1926, when he bought a Kansas City Star paper route in Wyandotte CO, Kansas. Then in 1940, he went into the gasoline station business at 4 th & Washington Blvd and later owned grocery stores at 13 th & Minnesota & 31st & Brown, as well as a feed store in Merriam, Kansas and a used furniture store until he retired to Wagoner, Oklahoma, in May 1977. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 yrs, Edna Mae Shadrick Crouss, On Aug 28, 1989. He and his wife had been active Jehovah's Witnesses since 1937. Survived by his son of Kansas City, Kansas and daughter of Broken Arrow, OK; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
