Larigan b.4-25-1919 Brooklyn NY d. 9-12-2004 Beechwood Cemetery Leland MI Leelanau co S/O Edward and Mildred (Schauf) Larigan. On May 16, 1941 he married the former Jean Elliott, who survives. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1941 and then entered the Navy. He served in the Navy in both the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II; rising to the rank of Lieutenant and he commanded a PC boat (submarine chaser). During his career with St. Regis Paper Company he lived in New York City, Minneapolis, MN, Birmingham, AL and finally Kansas City which he designated as his home office and where he lived for over forty years before retiring in Leland, MI and Vero Beach, FL. He has been a summer resident of Leland since 1960 and was actively involved as a member of the Leland Country Club, the Leland Yacht Club, and the Leelanau Conservancy. A graveside memorial service will be held at Leland's Beechwood Cemetery on Friday, Sept 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Joseph Graybill officiating.
