Governor of the Comonwealth of KENTUCKY to all to whom thefe prefents shall come, Greetings, KNOW YE that by virtue and in consideration of part of a Military Warrant Number 213 there is granted by the faid Commonwealth unto John TUPMAN a certain tract or parcel of Land containing One Thousand acres by Survey bearing date the eleventh day of August One Thousand seven hundred and eighty five Lying and being in the district Set apart for Line officers and soldiers of the Virginia State Line and bounded to wit BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Captain John HUDSON's Survey of 1000 acres N159 on the waters of RUSSELL Creek at a red oak and a walnut thence East four hundred poles crossing a branch at one hundred poles one at five hundred and thirty poles to two of the hickoried and a black oak thence north four hundred poles crossing a branch to a black oak and dogwood thence west four hundred poles to a hickory and an ash thence south two hundred poles to the Beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract or parcel of Land with all its appurtenances to the faid John TUPMAN and his heirs forever. IN WITNESS whereof, the faid Isaac SHELBY efq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, hath hereunto fet his hand and caufed the feal of the Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the twenty second day of April in the year of our Lord, one thoufand feven hundred and ninety six and of the Commonwealth.
