Finis Everett CURRY, son of Mr. James Robert CURRY of Montpelier, Ky., and
the late Mrs. Etta Kemp CURRY, died Tues, 17 Jan 1967 at the Jane Todd
Crawford Memorial Hospital. Born in Green Co. in 1910, he was a grocer in
the Milltown community of Adair Co. He was 56 years old. He was a member of
the Liberty Separate Baptist church. Besides his father, he is survived by 6
daughters, Mrs. Woodson RISE, Mrs. Raymond SQUIRES and Mrs. Russell BAGBY,
all of Greensburg; Mrs. Alfred KELTNER, Salem, Ind; Misses Patsy and Phyllis
CURRY, both at home; 3 brothers; Ethridge CURRY, Greensburg; Early CURRY,
Columbia; and Dallas CURRY, Chicago; 5 sisters: Mrs. Elsie BABIN, Louisiana;
Mrs. Rachel DOOLEY, Mrs. Lucille BARNETT and Mrs. Virginia GRINDSTAFF, all
of Ind; Mrs. Lois VALLIE, Chicago; 4 grandchildren, Chicago; and
4 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral
Home at 2 pm Thurs. 19 Jan 1967 with burial in the Liberty Separate Baptist
church Cem. Rev. F.T. PEPPERS and Rev. James JONES officiated. Pallbearers
were: Eugene SMITH, Charles CURRY, Wayne CURRY, Junior GILPIN, Will Ed
SHUFFETT, and Jimmy ROGERS.
