He passed away August 13 at Westlake Regional Hospital emergency room. Billy was a service technician who had worked at Columbia General Appliance for over 20 years. He was the son of Zelpha McClister Wheeler and the late Simon Wheeler of Columbia. Besides his mother, he is survived by: His wife, Carol Manley Wheeler; One daughter, Bridget OWENS and her husband Henry of Crossville, Tennessee; Two sons - Brad Wheeler and his wife Audrey of Edmonton; and Bryan Wheeler of Somerset; Two step-sons - David GRAY and his wife Kathy; and Steven Gray and his wife Jeannie, all of Bowling Green; Two brothers - Marshall Wheeler of Columbia; and Rev. Bobby Wheeler of Medina, Ohio; Five sisters - Wilda CAPE, Mary CORBIN, Dottie Corbin, all of Columbia; Evelyn HOLLARD of Chicago; and Joey EDWARDS of Greensburg; Eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers - Simon Jr., and Dixie Ray. Bro. Ronnie JANES will officiate at the Monday afternoon service. Interment will be in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay. Visitation begins after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
