R B EVANS was known to have donated the land. The first recorded trustees were: I T MYERS, W S SULLIVAN, W J WIMPEE and M M PERDUE. First teachers included L S WAGONER, G RKEEN, W V WAGONER and Ida MEADOR. Other teachers included: Bishop NAPIER, Bascom NAPIER, Hosea SULLIVAN, Linus NAPIER, Harry DOUGLAS, Doc HOLLAND, Mr PERRY, Pauline NAPIER JONES, Eurine NAPIER HERALD, Osley NAPIER, George MYERS, Ray MYERS, Beulah STINSON, W A WHITLOW, J M DOTSON, Mary DOBBS, J P MEADOR, Prudie POWELL, Malissia COOK MORRIS, Merle FOSTER, Maud CROSBY, James E JONES, C H JONES, Laverne NAPIER, Harold LYLES, Hortense OVERTON and Harry REID. School closed in the 1956 school year. It was located acrossfrom the present day Maple Grove General Baptist Church on the Maple Grove Church Road in SE part of the county near the KY-TN state line.
