These electronic pages may not be reproduced in any format or presentation by other organizations or persons.Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for profit or any form of presentation, must obtain the written consent of the file submitter, or his legal representative and then contact the listed USGENWEB archivist with proof of this consent. ******************************************************************************* ANDERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY DEEDS, Book __ pp. 334, 335 This Indenture made this fifteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine, Between William Noble and Hannah his wife of the one part and Robert F Mountjoy and William Mountjoy Jr of the other part, both parties of the County of Anderson State of Kentucky Witnesseth that the said Noble and wife for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Mountjoys, the receipt the said Noble and wife doth hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and convey, to the said Mountjoys and their Heirs, a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and six Acres, scituate in the County and State aforesaid, on the waters of Hammonds creek being the plantation whereon the said Noble lives, and bounded as follows (to witt,) Beginning at two Sugar trees in Smiths old line now Herndons corner, thence East 110 poles to stone in the middle of the creek, thence North up the creek with its meanders 60 poles to a stone in the middle of the creek, thence West 41 poles to a Sugar tree and Walnut, thence North 26 poles to three Sugar trees, thence West 63 poles to a White oak and Red oak on Johns Smiths Heirs line, and with the same South 42 poles to two white oaks corner to said Smiths Heirs, thence West 115 poles to a Sugar Tree and Hickory on Triggs line, and with the same South 78 poles to Triggs corner a Buckey and Mulberry, thence East with another of Said Triggs lines 115 poles to a Walnut and two Elms corner to Noble and Herndon, thence North 26 poles with said line to the beginning. Together with its appurtenances to have and to hold to them the said Mountjoys and their Heirs forever, the said Noble and wife for themselves their Heirs &c doth hereby warrant and forever defend the said one hundred and six acres of land, be the same more or less to them the said Mountjoys and their Heirs forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness the said William Noble and Hannah his wife have set their hands and seals the day and date above written (Seal) p. 335 Commonwealth of Kentucky Anderson County Sct I Nelson C. Johnson Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from William Noble, and his wife Hannah Noble, to Robert F. Mountjoy and William Mountjoy Jr. was produced to me in my Office by the said grantors on the 19th day of September 1829 and acknowledged by the said William Noble to be his act and deed; and the said Hannah Noble being examined by me, privily & apart from her husband, declared that she did freely and willingly seal & deliver the said writing & wishes not to retract it, and acknowledged the said writing, again shown & explained to her, to be her act and deed, and consenteth that the same may be recorded.
