The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Reynolds Family Deeds Anderson County, Kentucky Deed Book C - page 459 Know all Men by these presents that we, Ailsey Reynolds, widow of William Reynolds, Elizabeth Robinson, Abraham Darland and Rebecca, his wife, William Daniel and Nancy, his wife, William Robinson and Jane, his wife, John Abbott and Mary Ann, his wife, Isaac Darland and Alesey, his wife, Samuel Reynolds and Anna, his wife and James Robert Reynolds, legal heirs and representatives of William Reynolds, deceased, late of Anderson County, formerly Mercer County, Kentucky, all of which heirs are residents of Parke and Fountain Counties, Indiana, do by these presents, make, ordain, constitute and appoint and in our place and in our stead, put and depute, William C. Robinson of the County of Fountain and State of Indiana our true and lawful attorney, for and in our names, place and stead, to grant, bargain, sell, and convey all that possessed as tenure, towit - our entire intrest in and to the Real Estate, Personal Estate of said descendant in the county of Anderson and state of Kentucky with the appurtenances, and all our Estate, Rights, Titles and Interest therein with such person or persons and for such price or prices as he shall think proper and also for us and in our names, place and stead, as our proper act and deed to sign, seal and deliver and acknowledge all such deed as deeds of conveyance, as shall be necessary for the absolute granting and assigning of the premises to the purchaser or purchases in fee simple, giving and granting to our said attorney all our power and authority in and about the premises, to have use and take all lawful ways and means in our names for the purposes aforesaid and generally to do and perform all lawful acts and things necessary to be done and performed in and about the premises in our names as fully and ample, as we and ourselves might or could do if personally present and attorney as attornies under him for the purpose aforesaid to make and constitute and assign at pleasure, to revoke hereby ratifying, allowing and confirming whatsoever our said attorney shall lawful do in our names and about the premises by virtue of these presents. Before me the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace within and for said county, personally came James R. Reynolds, Jane Robinson, wife of said W.C. Robinson (the attorney aforesaid) and Elizabeth Robinson, who solemnly acknowledged the execution of the foregoing Power of Attorney to be their act and deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed. The Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Newton, this 14th day of February 1837. White, Clerk of the Circuit Court of said county, do certify that Joseph Restine Esq., whose signature appears to the above and foregoing certificate of acknowledgement, to which this is attatched is now and was at this time of making the same in acting Justice of Peace in and for said county duly elected, commissioned and qualified and that full faith and credit is due and ought to be given to his official act as such and I believe his signature as above is given me. Daviess, clerk of the Circuitt Court of said county do certify that John Vincent and A.H. Gatewood Esquires, before whom the foregoing Power of Attorney to which this is annexed, was acknowledged by, Ailsey Reynolds, widow of William Reynolds, Abraham Darland and Rebecca, his wife, William Daniel and Nancy, his wife, John Abbott and Mary Ann, his wife, and Isaac Darland and Ailsey, his wife, are now and were at the time of taking the said acknowledgement the acting Justice of the Peace in and for said county, duly elected, commissioers and quilified and full faith and credit are due to all and there official acts.
