All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00029.html#0007196 August 18, 2020, 9:18 am Source: Original Probate Records Online At Family Search Written: November 30, 1881 Recorded: October 1882 Ballard County, Kentucky Will Book A, Pgs 60 & 61 I, Sidney Preston Reeves of Ballard County, Kentucky do make and ordain this my last will & Testament hereby revoking all others made by me. 1st I desire that after my death my body be buried in a Christian like manner. 2nd I desire that all my just debts be paid. 3rd I give to my beloved wife Pollina Ann Reeves my farm & homestead on which we now reside containing one hundred & twenty five acres of land to be laid off the North end of my tract of land including the improvements during her natural life. 4th provided my youngest son David Walter Reeves lives with me during my natural life then at my death I give to him all of my personal property after my just debts all paid provided further that if I should die before my wife Pollina Ann Reeves if my son David Walter Reeves lives with and takes care of his mother Pollina Ann Reeves during her natural life then at her death in addition to the personal property heretofore given him I give him the said David Walter Reeves the homestead containing one hundred & twenty five acres of land heretofore devised to my wife Pollina Ann Reeves during her natural life. 5th I give to my son Sidney Preston Reeves one hundred & twenty five acres of land to be laid off on the South end of the tract of land on which I now reside. 6th I give to Daughter Elizabeth Cherry formerly Reeves one horse in addition to the cow & calf heretofore given her. 7th I give to my son Charles Curtice Reeves Seventy five acres of land lying West of my homestead it being the same that I have heretofore conveyed to him by Deed. 8th I give to my Daughter Lurania Hawes formerly Reeves One Sorrel mare one cow & calf the Same I delivered her the possession was shortly after her intermarriage with John Hawes her husband. 9th I give to my Daughter Louisa Cull formerly Reeves in addition to the forty acres of land on which she now resides ten acres of land joining her land on the South making it all fifty acres. 10th I give to my son William Jerome Reeves one hundred acres of land it being the same that I have heretofore conveyed to him by Deed. 11th I give to my son George Adam Reeves one hundred acres of land it being the same that I have heretofore conveyed to him by Deed. Written in my presents, read to me in the presence of the Subscribing witnesses and signed by me this November 30th 1881. S. P. Reeves Attest: Wm. J. Puckett A.
