Bruce, printers to the King's Most Excellent Majesty, 1800. It is covered in 
deer hide that he or someone in the family killed and tanned.

James Frazier, son of James Frazier and Elizabeth his wife, was born October 
30, 1772.

Susanna Groom, daughter of Robert Groom and Susanna, his wife was born 
August 25, 1790.

James Frazier died July 18, 1849, age seventy seven years, five months and 
eighteen days.

Of Robert and Susanna Groom's children we have:

John, born April 1, 1776 (taken from records of Virginia)
Susanna born Aug. 25, 1779 (Bible record)
Enoch Madison born 1780 (1850 census of Barren Co)
Valentine, born Febb. 14, 1782 (VA records).

After the death of his wife, Robert Madison Groom, who lived about five 
miles from Richmond, VA, came to TN to take up land. He located about where 
Nashville now stands. The transaction not being completed on his first trip, 
he went back home to see about his family. He started back later to complete 
the transaction, and was supposedly killed by the Indians as he was never 
heard from again. He had eight children, all boys except Susanna who married 
James Frazier. He came to Barren Co. KY and brought Enoch Madison Groom, her 
youngest brother, with her.

Known children of Robert and Susanna Groom:

John Groom born April 1, 1776.
Susanna Groom, married James Frazier, dates shown above,
born August 25, 1779.
Valentine Groom born February 14, 1782. West to Mississippi.
Enoch Madison Groom born 1790, died May 17, 1861, married
March 7, 1811 to Charlotte Bush (born 1794, died Aug. 1
1851). Their children:

1 - James F. Groom born December 16, 1811.
2 - Susanna Groom born November 13, 1813 - see below
3 - William B. Groom born November 20, 1814, married Emily
Moran and moved to Missouri.
4 - Sarah Groom born July 4, 1816.
5 - Rebecca F. Groom born January 22, 1818, married a Wood.
6 - Thomas Groom born September 17, ---- see below.
7 - Catherine Groom born February 11, 1821 - see below
8 - John H. Groom born 1827, was a blacksmith on the
Barren Co 1850 census.
9 - Elijah Groom born 1828 - went to California, single.
10 - Valentine Groom. Supposed to have been a wealthy
bachelor with a big estate in Texas - died there.

In 1855 Enoch M. Groom married Sarah Fisher and to this union was born 
Edward Groom, father of Lera Fraim.

Susannah Groom above married #2 John Hunt. Children:

1 - Sarah Jane Hunt born July 8, 1843, married Josiah
Pennington in 1869; went to IL or IN.
2 - Enoch Groom Hunt born January 28, 1845; died Co A, 37
KY Infantry, 1865.
3 - James Hunt born February 14, 1849, married Missouri E.
Davis on January 6, 1847 (she born April 27, 1854).
4 - Martha Ann Hunt born December 24, 1851, mararied L F
Bradley 1874.
5 - John G Hunt born August 28, 1853 - went to MO.

James H. Hunt (#3 above) born February 14, 1849, died November 19, 1917, 
married January 6, 1874 Missouri E. Davis (born April 27, 1854). Children:

1 - E. Henrietta S. Hunt born March 6, 1875, married Charles G. Wade on 
October 18, 1898. No children.
2 - Elizabeth Mandaily Hunt born October 20, 1877, died May 27, 1935, 
married August 14, 1895 Elmer S. Quigley. They had:
  1. James Lendell Quigley m(2) Rosie Lee Pinkston and had one son killed by 
  an automobile at the age of six years. Married (2) Alma (Smith) Buchanan. 
  No children
  2. Ruby Quigley married Ross Rich, lives in FL.
  3. Kenneth Quigley married Martha Wood and had: Donna June, Dorothy Jean 
  and Freddy Harold Quigley.

3 - Noah L. Hunt forn December 10, 1879, died May 15, 1916, married 25 
September 1900 Eva Reneau (born September 30, 1878). Their children:
  1. Willie Cecil Hunt born August 29, 1901, married November 1922 Elsie Jo 
  Rigsby (born 15 July 1903).
    Their children:
    1. Dewey Thurman Hunt born October 31, 1923, died November 1943 in 
    Italy, in service.
    2. Noah Thomas Hunt, born June 8, 1925; married Shirley Ventrees and had 
    Rosalyn Hunt.
    3. Kathryn Irene Hunt born May 19, 1930, married (1) Robert Button and 
    had James Robert Button. M(2) Arnold Gardner and had Gregory Hunt [sic].
    4. Moody Cecil Hunt born November 18, 1935; married Ruby Pearl (Shipley) 
    Stovall.
    5. Wanda Darlene Hunt born August 20, 1941, married Lyle Craycroft and 
    had Kimberly Jo Craycroft.
  2. James Wick Hunt married Maud Hicks, lives Rolfe, IA
  3. Luther Thurman Hunt married Betty Jacobsen, lives Arcadia, CA.
  4. Leonard P. Hunt died January 20, 1947, never married.
  5. Evie Irene Hunt married Paul Richardson, 88 KY.
  6. Raymond Leslie Hunt, married Lavonne Crawthorn, live in CA.


Additional Comments:
Contributed by Lera Groom Fraim, 451 Greenmount Boulevard, Dayton, OH (no 
date shown). She is the daughter of Edward Groom, son of Enoch Madison Groom 
by his last marriage. She has the family Bible and the following is copied 
from it. James Frazier was the brother-in-law of Enoch M. Grooms.

Note: Compiler - Mrs Lera Groom (J. P.) died and was buried at Fountain Run 
in 1964.
