Author: Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin GEORGE JAMESON was born in Barren County, Ky., July 2, 1856, the third of the four children of Robert F. and Eliza Jane (Wilson) Jameson. Robert F. Jameson was a son of George and Elizabeth Jameson, natives of Virginia, and of English origin. Robert F. was born in Barren County; was a farmer and trader, and died in September, 1884, aged seventy-nine years; his wife was also born and reared in Barren County, and was a daughter of John and Rhoda (Martin) Wilson, who were natives of Virginia and early settlers of Barren County. George Jameson commenced life for himself at the age of twenty-two on a farm. November 24, 1881, he married Bettie Hatcher, of Barren County, a daughter of Dr. Eugene M. and Mary (Wilson) Hatcher, who were of English origin, and respectively, natives of Warren and Barren Counties. Mr. Jameson and wife have one child, Mary. He resides on 102 acres of land one mile west of Glasgow Junction. In politics he is a Democrat. Mrs. Jameson is a member of the Baptist Church.
