Duvall and Duvall-Gorin Cemeteries These are two cemeteries were personally copied and verified in Barren County by Sandra Gorin. Permission was given to post to the Barren Co web site. DUVALL CEMETERY - on the James Road (Deering-Burks Road on the county maps). It is located near the intersection with the Furlong Road - used to be on the old Hewitt place. Duvall was the first husband of Elizabeth Turpin. After his death, she married John Gorin of Glasgow, whose first wife, Elizabeth Franklin had deceased. DUVALL-GORIN CEMETERY This is located about 1/2 mile south of Beckton on the farm owned by Thomas Penn Edmunds. Turn right at John's Edmunds' drive and follow to the last house. Go thru the gate at the barn and to the end of the tobacco patch. This was once known as the Crawhorn Place. There are no marked stones, there was evidence of about 30 graves marked with field stones.
